Click on the Image on the left and it will allow your to browse the NEW STAMPIN' UP! Catalog.

Friends Never Fade

I was very inspired from the latest Make a Card Monday Kristina Werner posted and created this card.  It is a little 3x3 card to cheer up someones day.  I had stitched using some DMC floss and all other products are Stampin' Up!.  I really LOVE that Baja Breeze came back.  It is a beautiful color and was also used in a previous card that I posted with the Dasher stamp.  Be sure to check out all the great products that are available July 1st at noon :)

Elements of Style

Elements of Style stamp set will be available in the Spring Mini Catalog ( May 1, 2010- August 21,2010). A Beautiful stamp set! I have no idea what I was thinking when I decided to cut out the large floral image but I enjoy the outcome of the card. Here is a great example on how to use SU's Hodgepodge hardware. You can use the hardware to accent your sentiment on a card and dress it up a bit. Also featured in this card is new Speciality Designer Series Paper Presto Patterns. I love this paper! I will be hoarding it if it does not make it to the catalog in the fall :)

Stampin' Up! Craft Ink Pads

Stampin' Up! has announced that in the upcoming catalog they will not longer sell the full sized CRAFT ink pads in the core colors. Apparently less people are using them and so they will only be available in spots. I love using craft ink pads... they are a pigment ink and much thicker ink than the classic dye ink. So if you love the craft ink pads (full size) you may want to consider buying the ones you may have been putting off before they are no longer available.
Stampin' Up! will only offer Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White in the full size.
Stampin' Up! Craft pads have a foam pad compared to the Classic inks fabric pad.
What are Craft Ink Pads good for?
Embossing- Crafty ink stays wet longer than classic ink allowing you to emboss in your desired color.
(1) Prep cardstock with embossing buddy (2) Stamp image in craft ink (3) With powder pal cover image in clear embossing powder and tap off excess (4) Emboss with heat tool (5) Marvel at the beautiful work you did because now the image is embossed in the same color you stamped your image.
Scrapbooking
Fabric- Use to stamps images on fabric to make your own unique design. Stampin' Up! does not recommend the following colors for this technique; Only Orange, Really Rust, More Mustard, and Whisper White.
Coloring wood/Chipboard- Craft is a thicker ink it is ideal for the coverage it gives on the On Board items that Stampin' Up! sells.

Color Renovation!

I can not wait to get my hands on the new colors that SU! Will be offering. The core colors are going to be renovated and downsized to 10 colors per group instead of the current 12. For those hoarders out there (like myself...) you may want to stock up on the colors that are leaving. Refreshing our color palette is a great way to keep up with the color trends.

Remember those In Colors that you loved so much in the previous years ... well some of them are coming back!

In Colors Returning/Staying
Melon Mambo
Rich Razzleberry
Pacific Point
River Rock
Soft Suede
Riding Hood Red
Pink Pirouette
Baja Breeze
Wild Wasabi

SU will also be introducing NEW colors to the new palette
Daffodil Delight
Early Espresso
Crumb Cake (formerly Kraft)
Cajun Craze
Marina Mist

More information will be posted later! All this becomes current with the new Catalog 2010-2011 release.

Also check out the link on the left for the current clearance SU! has ... they have some great stuff deeply discounted and new stuff was just recently added.

Color Throwdown Challenge #82

Here is my attempt at the Color Throwndown Challenge & 365 Cards. I really like the way it turned out. The Well Scripted Stamp set is in our current Occasions Mini Catalog. I purchased the Clear Mount version and am loving storage option. The DVD case like storage allows you to store more stamps in a small space. There are also cling labels that you are able to attach to the cling foam so you are able to see your image as you stamp. I personally prefer the clingy-ness without the label. (Of course that is just my option on them). Also SU's Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder is different from the other brand embossing folder. I really like both for different reasons. Stampin' Up! has the dots spaced a bit further apart, the dots are wider and more rounded ... Hope that helps someone :)
Thanks for looking :)

Dawn's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #21

I really love Dawns Challenges! This was a wonderful color combo to try. I thought I would try a new style and went for a grunge look. I would really suggest getting a Janome sew mini sewing machine for anyone that is interested in sewing on their cards. For this Challenge I used Stampin' Up items. I chose Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue, and Barely Banana

Sooo... Ta Da...

Supplies:

Stamps: Seeing stars, Extreme Elements & Circle Circus

Ink: Barely Banana, Bashful blue, Chocolate Chip & Versamark

Embellishments: Jumbo Eyelets pewter, Clear Embossing Powder, Twine, On Board Timeless Type & SU Billboard

Tools: Cropadile, Janome, Star punch, Heat Tool, Color Spritzer, Bone Folder & Cutter Kit.

Thank you for Looking

Occasions Mini Catalog 2010

Yes! They are clear! I am happy about it... although I do like both versions the cases and storage with the cling mounted ones have my heart.
The stamps are with the same red rubber we all love, however the other side is cling instead of sticky. SU will also provide the option to use a sticker to put over the cling so you are able to view the image through the clear block.
If you fall in love with the clear-mount option you will be happy to know that new stamps in future catalogs will be offered in both the clear and wood mount.
So until the new IBC comes out there are a handful of clear-mount stamps that are available in the SAB and Occasions mini catalog.
